Miss Batool who we call her Batool khanoom in Persian.
Batool khanoom tells us about the life she used to have in the old traditional house they had, where she used to live with her uncles and aunts. They opened the windows every morning to see the beauty of the yard and she remembers all the laughter.
There’s a huge smile on her face whenever she talks about the old times.
She could be mean sometimes, but because we know her by heart we know that she means nothing when she says those things.
Batool khanoom is one of those old but strong women. she’s a bit fat but hopefully, she has a double bed in her room so she can sleep easily! If it wasn’t like this, she would have made us buy her favourite bed!
One of the things Batool khanoom is thankful about is that she has her personal bathroom in her room. she tells us about how hard it was to go the WC in old houses or go to Garmabeh.
Anyway, she is happy with what she has and we’re happy for her as well.
Batool khanoom hides the gifts she bought for her grandchildren in the ganje (closet in Persian) so she could surprise them whenever they stop by to visit her. they bring lots of joy and good vibes whenever they come and it all make our home friendlier.
